ATLANTA, Ga.- September 8- The 4th Annual Healthy Love Youth Advocacy Statewide Summit (HLYASS) registration opened August 27 and continues until throughout the event. It is free for ages 16 to 25. The theme for this conference will be “Celebrating Black Joy.” Young people will have the chance to learn about Reproductive Justice, Black Maternal Health, Housing and Gentrification, Self-care, and other topics.
HLYASS will take place on September 15-20 in Atlanta, GA. This youth- lead conference will be a hybrid and happen virtually and in person. Two of the events during the conference will be Outdoor Yoga and a Youth Ball.
The conference will be led by the Healthy Love Youth Advocates. These are young Georgians who want to make a difference in their communities and are training as RJ advocates. The goal of HLYASS is to increase and strengthen the participation of young people from diverse backgrounds in challenging the sexual and reproductive health barriers that they face. HLYASS seeks to center the experiences of youth living or at risk of HIV, young Black women, LGBTQ youth, and others from marginalized communities.
