SisterLove Statements: Warnock and Ossoff Win GA Senate Race

The Georgia senate run-off election has been a contentious one. With all eyes on Georgia, people from all across the country poured resources into the state in hopes of flipping the Senate. Election day has finally passed and the results are in: the two senators for the state of Georgia will be two Democrats, Senators Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.

With two Democratic senators, the United States Congress is now majority Democratic in both houses. This means that President-elect Biden will go into office with a Democratic majority in both the House and Senate, making it much more likely that his agenda to preserve the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and tackling systemic racism much more likely to receive the support of Congress.

This result was only possible with the work and vote of people like you. Everyday of this election cycle, Georgians got up and voted… twice. SisterLove congratulates our native sons, Senators Warnock and Ossoff. We are so proud of you, Georgia.
