Dázon, along with CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, Director of the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention in the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, and Beyonce and Solange Knowles' mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, discussed the latest developments in the race for an HIV cure and viral suppression.

They also addressed the social conditions that allow HIV to wreak havoc in mostly black and brown communities in the South.

"To truly eradicate HIV, we must eradicate racism and injustice."
