Antoinette Williams
Antoinette Williams was diagnosed with HIV when she was just 18 years of age.
With the loving support of her mother, she decided to go public with her story that her diagnosis was a result of rape. She knew at a young age that something good and purposeful could result if she did not remain silent or ashamed.
Known for her transparency, she freely speaks at women’s events, churches, schools, and other social events in her community.
“Speaking publicly is a way for me to give back to the community and 'get back at' the stigma that fuels the ignorance which allows the virus to continue spread. I hope to continue to contribute to ending this epidemic by educating others on how to stay safe and protect themselves from HIV.“
Antoinette is very proud of her accomplishments and is deeply committed to personal lifelong learning. She looks forward to furthering her education by going to college shortly.
